About Nighthawks Robotics
Nighthawks Robotics is a high school robotics program from North Trail High School in Calgary, Alberta with four total teams competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge.
Founded in 2023, Nighthawks Robotics aims to inspire and educate students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) through hands-on learning and competition. Our teams are dedicated to fostering a love for robotics and innovation while promoting teamwork, leadership, and community involvement.
How do we compete?
We compete as part of the annual FIRST Tech Challenge. Every season we design, engineer and program a new robot to complete tasks as part of that season's game. We then compete in local, regional, and national tournaments against other teams.
We follow the FIRST philosophy of Gracious Professionalism, encouraging discovery, teamwork, inclusion, and fun. Through our participation in FIRST, we aim to develop not only technical skills but also important life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and leadership.
